Issue a National ID Card Copy

Dear compatriots, It has been announced that the issuance of a non-intelligent national ID card (old model) has been stopped at the embassies of the Islamic Republic of Iran abroad since 10/03/1398. National card applicants must obtain a national smart card within the country until further notice.

Note that the national ID card is for citizens over 15 years of age.

Please Note

  1. Note that most of those born in 1989 have no separate ID number and their ID number is the national number.
  2. The national number is also specified in the new passports.
  3. If the dear compatriots do not have national ID number and are not aware of their national number and need their national number to perform their administrative or consular duties, including the carnation system, they can come in person and provide the authentic identity card. Submit a request to obtain their national number in writing to obtain and submit their national code as appropriate.

*Online applications require the uploading of douments and photographs as stated in the application requirements. In some cases online application is not possible as original documents are required. You will be advised in such scenarios and be given the choice to post documents or apply in person at the Consulate.
